About us

 We are a traditional store  in the rural Scottish town of Castle Douglas selling antiques, collectables, curios and unusual vintage items. The business, started by Tony and Ann Burford over forty years ago, is now succeeded by son Jason Burford.  The store has a large front and rear shop selling items such as furniture, tables, desks, chairs, Tiffany lamps,  silver candle sticks,  bronze figurines,  porcelain, Lladro, Doulton, clocks, crystal decanters, glasses, pewter ware, piquot sets and canteens of cutlery to list a few . 

Collectors of the more unusual will find a varied stock of quirky items ranging from taxidermy, ships bells, magic lantern slides, military and memorabilia. We stock exquisite fine jewellery and quality diamonds, rings, necklaces, earings etc. There is a varied selection of artwork, paintings, drawings, screenprints and etchings  by various artists.

Stock changes on a daily basis and customers are welcomed to contact us to source any item.

Castle Douglas is a food town with a good selection of eateries and tea rooms. There are many small shops selling local produce, gifts and clothing to browse around.

  We are always looking for any antique or vintage items of interested. If you have an item you are considering selling, please contact us.  Although we cannot purchase every item we are happy consider all.
